Apprenticeship In Alberta: A Model of Excellence
Apprenticeship in Alberta is a training system that combines on-the-job training and formal instruction in recognized sets of skills called trades.

Designated Occupations: A New Approach to Certification
A designated occupation is an occupation that has been approved by the Minister of Alberta Learning on the recommendation of industry. When an individual achieves the standards of performance that are established by the designated occupation, a certificate is granted that is recognized as an achievement of competency for that occupation. A designated occupation is not a trade.

The Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP): Paid career training before you leave school
RAP is a way for high school students to become an apprentice and gain credits toward both an apprenticeship program and a high school diploma at the same time. It's like having it all!
